Freda Reviews Movies

I've loved movies since I was a little kid and my grandparents would take me to the movie theater every Sunday. Unsurprisingly, I ended up studying film at UM and directing my own projects! One of my favorite parts of film school was analyzing movies, but when I graduated, I realized I wasn't doing much of that anymore. In fact, I was barely watching any movies. My life consisted of binge-watching familiar shows like Grey's Anatomy or Friends or Criminal Minds while desperately job searching. So, one day, I asked my Instagram followers for movie recommendations, and I got a bunch of responses.

I started writing my thoughts on each movie in my stories, which is why you'll notice the first few reviews are very short. Eventually, I decided to make an Instagram account dedicated to my reviews (@fredareviewsmovies), which led to a Canva obsession and more movies. Some are a bit lengthy because I accidentally started analyzing films instead of just reviewing them, but hey, that's what happens when you love film. 

Now, I figured it would be nice to have a place where my reviews can live a long, healthy lives regardless of Instagram followers. So if you're reading this, thank you for being here and welcome to the party!
